A.	Introduction/Version History
This document contains or will contain all you need to know
about Donkey Kong Land.  All your questions will/should be
answered after reading this FAQ/Walkthrough.

Version 1.0-November 27, 1999
The basic information and the walkthrough for Levels 1.1-1.10
is included. There are still some errors to fix.  Levels 2.1-2.8 will
be included in the next update, along with Game Genie Codes.

Version 1.5-November 27, 1999
The Walkthrough for Levels 2.1-2.6 has been included. I have also
included some Game Genie Codes. I didn't quite get finished up to
Level 2.8. The remaining levels of Kremlantis as well as some levels
from Monkey Mountain and Chimpanzee Clouds will be included.
I also did some revamping of the FAQ/Walkthrough.  Doesn't it look
nice? I think so too.

Version 2.0-November 28, 1999
No actual information to the walkthrough has been added.  The only
thing I did was to reformat again.  Hopefully this time is the last
time I'll have to revamp the FAQ/Walkthrough.  In the next update
I'll add some more levels.  I promise.

Version 2.5-November 28, 1999
I kept my promise.  Levels 2.7-3.3 are now in the walkthrough.  
The levels are getting longer so it's going to take me longer to get
the walkthrough for the levels.  Be patient.  Levels 3.4-3.8 will
be in the next update.

Version 3.0-November 29, 1999
Levels 3.4-3.8 are now included in the Walkthrough.  I will be
adding Levels 4.1-4.5 in the next update.  I might also be adding
some Tips/Tricks.

Version 3.5-December 3, 1999
Levels 4.1-4.5 are now in the walkthrough.  I also added some Tips
and Tricks to the Tips/Tricks/Secrets section.  The walkthrough will
be completed in the next update. I Switched some of the level names
around because some of the level names were with the wrong level.
(I only switched the names for levels 4.1-4.4.  The names only needed
to be switched in the table of contents.)

Version 4.0-December 11, 1999
The walkthrough is now complete!  There's nothing more to do now
except add a few more tip/tricks/secrets and Game Genie Codes.  I
will update as necessary to fix any mistakes.

B.	The Basics
Here you'll find information on controls, items, moves, saving,
and other useful information.

*Controls
Control Pad: Moves the character on the screen
A Button: Jump, Swim
B Button: Roll, Pick up barrel (release to throw)
Start Button: Pause
Select Button: Switch to Diddy (or vice versa), or dismount
from animal.
(Press start and then select to exit a level you have already
completed.)

*Items
Barrels- Barrels with no marking on them can be picked up and
used as weapons.  Barrels marked with a star will quickly launch
you to another part in the level.

Buddy Barrel- Contains Diddy/Donkey (whichever one you are not
using).  If you loose a life, and have released your buddy from the
barrel, you will be able to continue.  Buddy Barrels have DK written
on them.

Continue Point- These sparkling circles will let you continue at the 
point where you touched them if you die.

End Warp- If you jump in these swirling circles, the level will end.

Kong Tokens- These tokens are marked with a picture of Diddy/
Donkey.  They are used in Bonus Levels to let you have a chance
to obtain extra lives.

Banana- Collect 100 of these for an Extra Life

Banana Bunch- Counts as 10 bananas

*Moves
Jump- Jumping is the most basic of all moves.  If you jump on
top of certain enemies, the enemy will die.  Jumping can also
let you access certain bonus areas.

Roll- The roll is the alternate attack of Diddy/Donkey. As with
the jump, rolling will not defeat all of the enemies.

Climb- You can climb up or down on vines, ropes, nets, and
poles.

Swim- Swimming is integral to completing Kremlantis.  To swim
faster, press the A button repeatedly.

Saving- In order to save after a level, you must have collected all
of the letters in the level.  There are four letters in each level
(except for boss levels).  When you collect all four letters, they
spell out K-O-N-G.

C.	Character Information
Donkey Kong- The main character in Donkey Kong Land,
hence the name.  You must guide him through every level in 
the game in order to win and achieve 100%.

Diddy Kong- The other main character in Donkey Kong Land.
He will aid Donkey Kong on his quest to defeat K. Rool. I find
Diddy is more agile than Donkey.

Cranky Kong- This old ape is the grandfather of Donkey Kong.
He is very annoying and cranky, hence his name.  He is the one
who harasses Donkey and Diddy to take on their quest.

Expresso- An ostrich-type animal.  While Diddy/Donkey are
on him, you can run fast, and also float through the air.

Rambi- A ferocious and strong Rhino.  He can run fast and plow
through enemies without a scratch.

D.	Walkthrough
*****1. Gangplank Galleon Ahoy!*****
1.1.	Jungle Jaunt.
This level is pretty basic.  Head to the right from the starting 
point to get a Kong Token.  Collect the bananas as you go.  When
you come to the split path, there is a snake and some bananas on 
the upper platform, and a Buddy Barrel on the lower path.  Keep 
heading right. At the end of the path, jump off of the Kremling 
(alligator-type enemy) onto the trees to collect some bananas. 
When you are off the trees, head right to collect the K.  After you 
have the K, jump onto the tree.  If you can make the difficult jump 
to the next tree, collect the bananas that spell DK.  From this tree,
jump to the next tree and then jump of the right side of it onto the
hole.  Doing this will allow you to access the first Bonus Level
*Bonus Level- In here, all you have to do is collect the bananas and
Kong Tokens.*
When you exit the bonus level, head right to collect the O.  Head 
right and break open the crate to get Rambi!  Keep going right and 
you'll reach a Check Point.  Keep going until you reach the N.  After
you have the N, jump up to get a Kong Token.  Keep going right, and
you'll eventually reach a tall cliff.  If you still have Rambi, you 
can ram into the cliff to access the second bonus level.
*Bonus Level- Not much to do in here except collect the bananas and get
the Extra Life.*
When you exit the bonus level, head right to collect the G and a Kong
Token, and then jump in the warp to exit the level.  When you finish 
the level, and if you have collected K-O-N-G, press A to save when 
the file select screen appears.

1.2.	Freezing Fun
Go left from the start to collect a Kong Token.  Head right to 
collect a banana bunch, and then jump into the Barrel.  After you 
have been launched from the Barrel, head quickly down the slope to
collect and Extra Life.  Head to the right and step into the Barrel.
Press the A button to launch  yourself out of the Barrel, and you
will automatically break open a Buddy Barrel. Head to the right and
down the slope, collect the K, at the end of the slope, jump into the
Bonus Barrel that is just below the edge of the slope.
*Bonus Level- Collect the bananas and the 2 extra lives, and then
exit.*
When you exit the bonus level, jump over the pit and into the barrel
and you'll collect a lot of bananas.  Next, jump onto Hogwash (the
flying pig), in order to get over the pit.  Keep going right out 
watch out for Kremlings, because they blend in easily with the 
surroundings.  When you reach the Kong Token, be careful because
there are two Kremlings jumping around it.  Keep going until you 
reach the Check Point and a Buddy Barrel. Head down the slope and 
jump over the pit.  Jump on the 2 Hogwash's to get over the pit.  
After you jump over the pit, head back down the stair-like slope to
collect the O.  Head right and go under the Zinger (bee-like enemy)
to collect the N.  Continue on down the slope and enter the Barrel.
Continue down the slope but be careful because it is slippery and
you have to jump a lot. After jumping over the pits and going down
the slopes, get the G.  Keep to get some bananas and then enter the
warp.

1.3.	Simian Swing
Start off by getting the Buddy Barrel.  As you continue up the 
stair-like platforms, jump off the Kremling on the 4th platform to 
get onto the tree.  Jump left from tree to tree to collect some 
bananas and Kong Tokens. Back track the way you came until you reach
a vine.  Swing on it to collect the K. Swing on the next 2 vines 
until you land on the tree.  Jump down between the tree and the tree
with the bananas on it to reach the bonus level.
*Bonus Level- Jump on the clouds to collect the bananas.  Be 
careful, because the clouds will disappear if you stand on them to
long.*
After the bonus level, jump on the trees and you can get the Extra 
Life if you're quick enough.  Keep swinging on the vines and you'll
eventually reach the O.  After the O, get the Check Point and Buddy
Barrel.  After the Check Point, walk off the right side of the first 
small cliff to reach a bonus level.
*Bonus Level- If you have some Kong Tokens, step on the button and
catch the tokens as they fall out of the barrel to get some Extra 
Lives.*  After the bonus level, jump on the trees and then swing on
the vines to collect the N.  Continue to swing from vine to vine.  
Keep going until you reach the G. After you have the G, jump into 
the warp.

1.4.	Deck Trek
Go left from the start and jump in the barrel to get 2 Kong Tokens
and Extra Life.  After you get the Extra Life, go up for 2 Banana
Bunches. Then go left and climb the net.  Jump on the Kremling 
(alligator-type enemy) at the right to in order to get to 2 Kong 
Tokens.  From the Kremling, continue right and up and climb the rope.
Watch out for the bird cannons. Go up the rope and jump into the 
barrels at the left.  Climb the net and then jump up onto the 
platform.  Grab the barrel of TNT and touch the Check Point. Throw 
the TNT and the Zinger (bee enemy).  Go right and then jump 
into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tires and collect the O.*
After the bonus level, jump up and go left and climb the rope.  
The 1st platform leads to 2 Kong Tokens.  The 4th platform leads to 
a Check Point and Buddy Barrel.  After you get the Buddy Barrel, 
climb the rope, go left and climb the net.  Go right then up and 
climb the rope.  When you get off the rope, go left to get to a Buddy
Barrel.  Go up and kill or avoid the snakes.  Climb all the way up 
the rope.  When you're off the rope, go right on the platform, up on
the platform, and left on the platform to reach the 
Bonus Barrel.
*Bonus Level- Jump on the crate to release Expresso.  Press A 
repeatedly while you're on Expresso to reach the N and the O.*
When you exit the bonus level, continue on and touch the barrel in
order to activate the warp.

Note: Because you touched the explosive barrel at the end of level 
1.4, you can now blow up one of the rocks blocking the paths.  The
upper path leads to Level 1.5. The lower path leads to Level 1.6.  If
you choose to go to Level1.5, you don't have to do Level 1.6 and vice
versa. In order to get 100% in the game, you must complete both 
levels.  To complete both, choose a path, complete the level, go 
complete Level 1.7, and then return to the level you didn't complete.

1.5.	Rope Ravine
From the starting point, go right and jump from rope to rope to get 
the Buddy Barrel.  Continue on and jump from rope to rope until you
reach the K.  Go right and jump from the rope into the barrel.  Guide
yourself from barrel to barrel.  Keep going until you reach the rope
with the O.  Directly below the O, drop off the rope and enter the 
barrel.
*Bonus Level- If you have Kong Tokens, step on the switch to earn
some Extra Lives.*
When you exit the bonus level, you'll automatically hit a Check 
Point.  After the Check Point, look carefully for a rope and grab 
hold of it.  When you're off the rope, get the Buddy Barrel and then
jump on the platform to the next rope.  Jump into the barrel.  After
you get the N (the barrel will launch you to it), jump down into the
pit directly after the N.
*Bonus Level- Collect the 6 Kong Tokens.*
After the bonus level, jump into the barrel to get the G.  When you 
enter the spinning barrel, press A when you are aimed at the bananas.
When you land continue on and walk past the warp to collect some 
bananas and enter the alternate warp.

1.6.	Tire Trail
Go right from the start and jump down the cliff.  Go left and jump to
the platform, and then jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Cash in Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
After the bonus level, head right on the upper path to collect the 
K. Keep going and pick up the Buddy Barrel and throw it at the 
Zinger.  Next, head right and jump into the pit to collect the O.  
After the O, jump off of the Kremlings.  On the last Kremling, jump
high enough so you land on the hole in the ground to the right.
*Bonus Level- Collect the 6 Kong Tokens.*
Go right to reach a Check Point and Buddy Barrel.  Jump on the trees
after the Buddy Barrel to get some bananas.  Continue right until you
reach a Zinger.  Jump into the barrel directly below the Zinger.
*Bonus Level- Nothing much to do here except collect the N.*
After the bonus level, go right and jump off the tires to get the G.
Next, time your jumps so you go over the Zingers.  Continue on to 
the Warp.

1.7.  Riggin' Rumble
Note: This is a long level.  It is kinda of difficult, so be careful.

Go right from the start until you see a Hogwash.  Go back to the 
start and jump off of Hogwash onto the pole.  Jump into the barrel 
to get some bananas and hit the Check Point.  Head right and jump
from net to net to collect the K.  Jump up off of the last net to 
reach the platform.  Go left on the platform to get a Buddy Barrel.
Go right until you reach a large net. Stay near the top of the net to
avoid the snakes.  After you're off the net, walk on top of the poles
to collect the O, but watch out for the Kremlings. After you get the
O, follow the "deck" (bottom of the ship), until you reach the edge
of the ship.  Drop directly off of the edge to reach the Bonus Level.
*Bonus Level- Collect the bananas and Kong Tokens, but watch out for
the tire.*
After the bonus level, jump on the tire and climb the net.  To the 
left of the net go on the platform, up to the next platform, and left
to the next platform to reach a Buddy Barrel.  To the right of the 
net there is a Check Point.  Go right and jump over the Zinger onto
the net.  Cross the net to reach the N, but watch out for the snakes.
After you're off the net, get the Buddy Barrel, and then jump between
the Zingers to reach the net. Climb down the net to get to a banana
bunch.  Bounce off the tire, and then climb the net, but watch out 
for the snakes.  Jump off of the net when you reach the end of it to
get a Buddy Barrel.  Keep going and jump on the poles.  On the 
highest pole, jump down while following the banana trail to break 
open the floor.  Grab the rope that comes out of the floor.
*Bonus Level- Collect the Kong Tokens.*
After the bonus level, jump from rope to rope, but watch out for the
snakes. If you can, go to the top of the ropes to avoid the snakes.
When you're off the ropes, climb the next set of ropes, but watch out
for the Zingers.  Next, jump on the tire to reach a platform to the 
left.  Follow it to the end and go up to reach a Check Point, and to
get some bananas and Kong Tokens. Jump into the barrel.  Go right 
and jump on the poles to collect the G.  Go right and you'll reach 
the warp. (finally done with the level!)

1.8.	Congo Carnage
From the start, head right to get some bananas and then jump in the
barrel to get the rope.  Follow the bananas while you're on the rope
to collect the K. Directly under the K, drop down along the side of
the cliff and fall into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Collect the 4 Kong Tokens*
After the bonus level, go down and continue right until you reach 
the O. Go right and get the Buddy Barrel, and then continue on and
grab the rope. Move up and down on the rope in order to avoid the 
Zingers.  While you're on the rope collect the N.  Jump to the next
rope, and then go right to the Check Point.  After the Check Point,
follow the lower path and jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Cash in your Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
After the bonus, drop down below the tree to get a banana bunch.  Go
right and pick up the barrel then throw it at the wall to break it. 
Continue until you reach the rope.  Move up and down on the rope to
avoid the Zingers. While you're on the rope, collect the G.  Jump off
the rope when you see land and jump into the barrel.  Jump into the
warp.

1.9.	Arctic Barrel Blast
Go right into the barrel and while you're in the air hold left to 
enter the next barrel.
*Bonus Level- Cash in your Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
When you're out of the bonus level, you'll automatically get the K.
Continue going right until you reach a barrel.  Jump in the barrel 
and launch yourself when you're lined up with the next barrel.  Do
the same thing on the next set of barrels.  When you're in this set 
of barrels, to get the O, wait until both barrels are aligned the 
with the O then launch yourself.  Head right after the barrels to the
Check Point and Buddy Barrel.  In the next set of barrels, when 
you're in the 3rd barrel, aim for the single banana and launch yourself.
*Bonus Level- Collect the bananas and the N.*
After the bonus, go down the slope and get in the barrel.  When 
you're in this set of barrels, try and avoid the Zingers.  When 
you're out of the barrels continue on to the 4th set of barrels and
once again avoid the  Zingers. After the 4th set of barrels, go right
and jump to collect the G. Continue right and jump into the warp.

1.10.-Boss- Wild Sting Fling
In this boss level, the Sting Ray will move from side to side.  As it
moves from side to side, jump on it.  Every time you jump on it, it
speeds up.  It will be defeated after 7 hits.  When you win, you'll
get three banana bunches.

*****2. Kremlantis*****
2.1. Tricky Temple
From the start, follow the arrow made from bananas.  Keep going right
until you reach the K.  Continue on to a Kong Token, some bananas,
and you'll eventually reach the O.  After you collect the O, go right
to the Check Point and Buddy Barrel.  Keep going until you get to 
the N.  When you reach the tire, push it into the little pit so you 
can bounce on it and jump over the high wall.  Continue on and watch
out for the Kremlings.  When you reach the series of pits, jump down
into the 4th pit.
*Bonus Level- Break open the crate to get Rambi, then kill the 
enemies and collect all of the bananas.*
After the bonus, grab the vine and swing to get the G.  After you 
collect the G, go right, collect the bananas and jump into the warp.

2.2. Kremlantis Kaos
From the start, swim up to collect some bananas and a Buddy Barrel.
Swim right and avoid the fish while you collect the bananas.  Below 
the first crab there is a Kong Token.  Below the second crab, swim
down into the pit to collect the K.  Go right to get a Buddy Barrel,
but watch out for the crabs and fish.  Below the 6th crab collect the
O in the pit.  Continue on until you reach a Check Point, Buddy 
Barrel, and a banana bunch.  From the Check Point, collect the N in
the pit with the 3 crabs in it.  Swim right until you come to a pit 
with a fish swimming over it.  There is a Buddy Barrel in the pit.
Keep going but watch out for the crabs, there are a lot of them! Take
your time when you're swimming between all the crabs because it's 
kind of tricky.  Keep going and collect the G which is in a small 
pit.  When you  see the warp, swim past it to collect some bananas 
and Kong Tokens, and then enter the warp.

2.3. Reef Rampage
When you start, swim down and follow the arrow made from bananas.
Swim directly below and past the second fish into the wall to collect
2 Kong Tokens and a banana bunch.  Swim to the right, and watch out
for the tire and fish. When you see the two crabs, swim below them 
and follow the first path to get the K.  Head back up and take the 
second path to reach a Check Point.  Head left from the Check Point
and swim between the tires to get a Buddy Barrel. After you get the
Buddy Barrel, swim left and down between the crabs to get the O.
Swim right and up from the O.  When the path splits, take the left
path to get a Kong Token.  Go back to the split in the path and go up
following the bananas.  Go right and swim under the tire to get some
bananas.  Keep swimming right and go down to get a Buddy Barrel.
Swim and follow the path to a Check Point.  Below the Check Point
collect the N.  Swim through the floor below the N to get some Kong
Tokens and banana bunches.  Continue left until you come to a tire 
going around a circle and swim down. Avoid the fish, swim to right 
to get a Buddy barrel, and avoid the tires.  Head right and then down
and swim between the 2 tires (one is moving, one isn't).  Swim into
the pit below the two tires that are moving from side to side to 
collect the G.  Keep swimming right to get 3 Kong Tokens and then
swim into the warp.

2.4. Snake Charmer's Challenge
Note: This is the level on the upper path after Level 2.3.  You 
can do 2.4. or 2.5.(which is the path to the right).  Both aren't
required to continue, but both are required to get 100% in the game.

From the start, get the banana bunch and grab hold of the rope.  Go
right to get the banana bunch and Buddy Barrel.  Continue on and use
the tire to jump over the snake barrel.  Jump on the Tornado and use
it to jump over the pit.  After the pit, jump on the tire to get a 
Kong Token.  Continue right and watch out for the rolling snake 
barrels.  Keep going and jump on the rope and get the K.  After you
have the K, pick up the TNT barrel and throw it at the snake barrel
which is over the tire. When the snake barrel is gone, jump onto the
tire straight into the air.
*Bonus Level- Jump onto the little platform; it will transport you
along the track.  Avoid the Zingers and collect the banana bunches.
When you reach the end of the bonus level, jump in the barrel to 
collect the O.*
Head right after the bonus level to get to a Check Point and Buddy
Barrel. Use the TNT barrel to blow up the snake barrel that are in 
your way.  Go right and avoid snakes and jump over the pits.  Grab
hold of the ropes and move up and down on the ropes to avoid the 
zingers.  While you are on the rope, don't forget to collect the G. 
After you have the G, jump off of the rope and collect the bananas.
Touch the explosive barrel and jump into the warp.

2.5. Chomps Coliseum
Collect the banana bunch, avoid the fish, and collect some more 
bananas. Continue to swim to the right to get the K.  Keep going and
watch out for the crabs and fish.  Collect the bananas as you go.  
Swim down the first narrow, deep pit you see to get the O.  Continue
onward avoiding the fish and you'll reach a Check Point.  Keep 
swimming to get a banana bunch.  If you keep going, in the first pit
after the two crabs, collect the N.  As you go, collect the bananas
and avoid the fish and sharks.  Swim to the right to get the G which
is enclosed by a circle of bananas.  Go right, and swim between the 
fish.  Touch the explosive barrel and enter the warp.

2.6. Nautilus Chase (this is the level blocked by the rock)
Warning: This is the longest level yet.  It is difficult and 
confusing. It is even harder with a Nautilus chasing you.  Keep 
track of where you are and BE CAREFUL!

In this level some giant fish (called Nautiluses) will chase you
down. You have to stay ahead of them because you will die if they
touch you. From the starting point, swim right and grab the bananas.
Swim into the upper path after the bananas to get 2 Kong Tokens.
Head back down the path and get the Buddy Barrel.  After the Buddy
Barrel, you'll run into the first Nautilus.  Swim fast to stay ahead
of it!  Follow the path and when it splits, take the upper path.  
Follow the path and avoid the little fish. After a short time, the
Nautilus will stop chasing you.  When you see the clams, don't get
too close or they will close on you.  Follow the path and avoid the
fish and you'll reach a Check Point and a Buddy Barrel.  Go left and
stay away from the clams.  When you see the second Nautilus, grab
the K below it and move fast!  Get the Buddy Barrel and follow the
path.  Like the first Nautilus, this one will also stop chasing you 
after a short time. When the path splits take the upper path.  When
the path splits again, take the left path and follow it to get the O.
Continue on and you should've gone in a circle from the 2nd split to
the O to the 2nd split again.  When you're back at the 2nd split, go
right.  Keep following this path until it splits again.  Take the 
right path, or else you'll go in a big circle. Stay on this path, 
avoid the clams, and you'll eventually reach the third Nautilus.  
Quickly follow this path to a Check Point and Buddy Barrel. Keep
going and when the path splits, go down.  The third Nautilus should 
be gone now.  Follow this path down while staying away from the fish
and clams.  Continue along the path and you'll eventually run into 
the fourth Nautilus.  Follow the path and when it splits follow the
path of bananas. Continue to swim along the path and you'll reach a
Check Point.  Keep going and you'll reach a Buddy Barrel.  Follow the
path down and above the clam you'll find the N.  Keep swimming along
the path until you come to a three way split.  Go down, and at the 
next split go right to get the G.  After you have the G, keep 
following the downward paths.  Keep swimming along the path and
eventually you'll reach the warp. (FINALLY done!)

2.7. Swirlwind Storm
Go right from the start and jump over the Zinger onto the tornado.
While you're on the tornado, get the Buddy Barrel.  Stay on the
tornado, jump over the Zinger, and then jump to the next tornado.
Keep going right and above the 3rd tornado grab the bananas.  Beside
the 4th tornado collect the K.  Keep going and watch out for the
Kremlings.  Jump on the rope and avoid the Zinger.  Go right and
jump from the tornado to the rope and then keep going to reach the
Check Point.  After the Check Point, go down the slope to land on
the tornado.  Jump over the Zinger and get the Buddy Barrel.  Jump
over the pits to get the O.  Keep going, but after the tires don't
jump on the tornado.  Jump over the tornado to get the N.  After you
have the N, go right and jump on the tornado to grab the rope.  When
the rope is all the way to the left, jump off it into the air towards
the left.
*Bonus Level- Go left from the start to get 3 Kong Tokens.  Jump
from tire to tire to get some bananas.*
After the bonus, jump on the tornado and go right to get the G.  Keep
going and enter the warp.

2.8.-Boss- Seabed Showdown
There is a clam in the center of the room, and one in the corner.
The one in the center is the boss.  Swim in front of the clam that
is in the corner.  Wait until the boss shoots at you and then move
out of the way.  If your timing was right, the thing the boss shot
will bounce off of the clam in the corner, and then hit him.  After
every hit, the clam in the corner will switch corners, so follow it
an repeat the process of letting the boss shoot and then moving out
of the way in time.  Eight hits will destroy the Clam.  You'll get
three banana bunches.

 *****3. Monkey Mountain and Chimpanzee Clouds*****
3.1. Pot Hole Panic
From the start of the level, push the tire past the Zinger to get a
Buddy Barrel.  Push the tire to the right of the second Zinger to
get the K.  Continue right and go under the narrow passage.  After
the second narrow passage, jump on the moving platform.  Keep going
and you'll reach the second tire.  Push it just before the narrow
opening and jump to get the O.  Push the tire through the narrow
passage, and when it is below the three bananas, jump up and to the
left into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Break open the crate to get Rambi.  Collect the
bananas as you go.*
Go right after the bonus.  You won't be able to kill the big enemy
unless you're Donkey Kong.  Jump on the platform, and collect the
bananas.  When you come to the 3rd tire, push it to the wall so you
can jump on the wall.  Keep going and you'll reach a Check Point.
After the Check Point, push the tire until you see a Buddy Barrel
above.  Push the tire to the edge of the small pit, but not into it.
Jump to get the Buddy Barrel and then jump over the pit, but watch
out for Kremlings.  When you come to the tire, go to the right of it
and jump over the bird cannon to get the N.  Go back to the tire
and push it to the left off the little platform (not the big pit).
When the tire is off the platform, push it right and follow the path.
Push it kind of quickly or it won't roll over the upcoming pits. Push
it until you see a line of bananas going straight into the air.  Push
the tire directly under the bananas and jump.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tire and collect the G.*
After the bonus, head right and jump into the warp.

3.2. Mountain Mayhem
Get the Buddy Barrel and then jump over the zinger to get the banana
bunch.  Go right and avoid the rocks that roll out of the cave.  Go
right, get the Buddy Barrel, and use the Kremling to jump onto the
platforms.  Go right to get a Kong Token.  Go left and you'll get
the K.  Keep jumping on the platform but watch out for the enemies
and rolling rocks.  Grab the TNT and carry it up the platforms and
then throw it at the enemy you see.  Collect the bananas and watch
out for the falling rocks.  Continue right and when you see bananas
leading down follow them to break the weak spot in the floor.  Grab
the rope that comes out.
*Bonus Level- Jump on the clouds to collect the bananas.  Avoid the
Zingers.  When you reach the end, break open the crate and hop on
Expresso.  Jump up onto the highest white pole.  Jump off and keep
pressing A to float through the air.  Try and land on the first
platform and bounce off of the Zingers if you need to.  Float on the
upper platforms back to the beginning to collect the O.*
After the bonus level you should be on Rambi.  Continue left on the
platforms.  Continue following the platforms, avoiding the Kremlings
and rocks as you go.  After you get the N (which is on a platform
when you're heading left), you should still have Rambi.  Keep going
and avoid the rocks that roll out of the cave.  Keep going and you'll
see two more caves.  Next to the left most cave there is a cannon.
Jump in it.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tire and collect the G.*
Head right after the bonus level and jump in the warp.

3.3. Track Attack
From the start walk into the barrel and it will blast you on to a
platform.  Stay on the platform as it moves along the track.  Avoid
the zinger and collect the bananas.  Get the Buddy Barrel above the
2nd Zinger.  After the 3rd Zinger, jump on the cloud to get the K.
Go right and jump on the next platform.  Before the next Zinger, as
you are going up, jump to the right off the platform to land in a
barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tire and collect the O.*
After the bonus level, go right to the next platform.  Jump over the
Zinger to get the N.  Follow the banana arrow and jump on the cloud.
Get the Check Point then jump on the Platform.  Avoid the Zingers,
get the banana bunch and Buddy Barrel.  When you come to the two
Hogwashes, jump from one to the next to get to the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Get the bananas and the Kong Token.*
After the bonus level, jump on the platform.  Jump on and/or over
the Hogwash to collect the G.  Jump to the next platform, avoid the
Zinger, get the Kong Token, then jump to the next platform.  Avoid
the Zinger, jump to the next platform, then jump on the cloud. Follow
the banana arrow to the warp.

3.4. Spiky Tire Trail
From the start, quickly jump left to get in the barrel.  When the
barrel stops, launch yourself to get the K, 4 banana bunches, and
and Extra Life.  Continue on to get a Buddy Barrel.  Jump over the
tire, then continue on.  While your on the moving platform, jump
down between the two tires into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Collect the bananas.*
After the bonus level, jump over the tires and head right to collect
the O.  After you have the O, go right and jump to get the bananas
on the rock that is has a tire going around it.  Go right past the
three tires that are moving up and down to get a Check Point and a
Buddy Barrel.  After the Buddy Barrel, jump between the two tires
then onto the moving platform.  Continue going right.  When you reach
the rock surrounded by 3 moving tires, jump on it and get the N.
After you have the N, keep going until you reach a tire moving up
and down through a narrow gap in the floor.  Jump down into the gap.
Go right and pick up the barrel and throw it to the left.  Go into
the hole in the wall that the barrel makes.
*Bonus Level- Cash in your Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
After the bonus, go get the G and then continue on to the warp.

3.5. Skyhigh Caper
Note: This is by far the longest level yet, and it is probably the
longest level in the game.  It is annoying and difficult.  Prepare
yourself!

From the start, get the Buddy Barrel and jump into the barrel. These
platforms change direction when you jump on them and when they hit
the edge of the track.  Let the platform carry you around until you
reach a Hogwash.  Jump on it to kill it, then jump again until you
are going right again.  To get the Buddy Barrel, jump 3 or 4 times
to get it, the jump until you are going right again.  Kill or avoid
the 2nd Hogwash  then keep heading right.  When you see a cloud,
jump on it then go into the barrel and you'll go to a Check Point.
Go left after the Check Point to get the bananas, then jump onto the
next platform.  Let it carry you until you reach a spot when you go
down.  Hit the bottom of the track an let it take you up until you
are facing the track going left, then jump once.  Kill or avoid the
Hogwash then keep going left.  When the track ends, jump from cloud
to cloud then into the barrel to get to the Check Point.  Jump over
the Zingers after the Check Point onto the next platform.  Jump to
go right and get the Buddy Barrel.  When you see the Hogwash, below
and to the right of it there is a barrel.  Jump in it.
*Bonus Level- Get the bananas, avoid the fish, and get the Kong
Token.*
After the bonus level, get the Check Point and Buddy Barrel. Go right
to the next platform.  Jump on the platform until you are going
right.  Watch out for the Zingers.  When the track ends, jump over
the Zinger to the cloud, and then to the next platform.  Jump to get
the Buddy Barrel, then jump on the platform until you are going up
the upper left path.  Kill or avoid the Hogwash, collect the bananas
and then kill or avoid the next 2 Hogwashes. Jump on the platform
to go up then left.  When you see the Zinger, wait until you hit the
left edge of the track, then the bottom.  After you hit the bottom,
quickly jump twice on the platform to go left.  Keep going left
then jump to get the K.  After you have the K, jump on the platform
until you go up the path that is above where you got the K.  While
you're going along this path you'll get a Buddy Barrel, the O, and
the N.  When you get the N, quickly jump once on the platform and
you'll be carried up, left, down, and then right under the Zinger.
Continue letting the platform carry you right.  When you reach the
end of the track, jump to get the G and then you'll land on the next
platform.  Jump on the platform until you're going right.  Collect
the banana bunch as you go.  Avoid or kill the Hogwashes.  When the
track ends, jump onto the cloud.  Continue on to the right of the
warp and jump down, following the bananas.  Use the tire to jump
back up.  Jump into the warp. (FINALLY done!!)

3.6. Landslide Leap
Go right and follow the banana path to the ground.  Push the tire
to the right in order to jump up on the platform and get the K.
Go right and get the Buddy Barrel.  Jump over the pits and watch
out for the Kremlings.  Keep going to get some bananas, kill the
bird cannon, then kill the Kremlings.  When you see the tire, jump
on it to get a Kong Token.  Continue on jumping on the platforms
while avoiding the enemies and falling rocks.  When you come to a
banana path leading to the ground, follow it to hit the hole in the
ground.  Grab the rope that comes out.
*Bonus Level- Go in the barrel to get Expresso.  Float to get some
bananas and a Kong Token.*
After the bonus level, jump on the tire to get the O.  Keep going
right and when you see a tire, use it to jump onto the Hogwash
in order to get over the pit.  Continue going right to get to the
Check Point.  After the Check Point, keep going to get a Buddy
Barrel.  Watch out for the Kremlings and falling rocks.  Go right
and jump on the three Hogwashes to get over the pit.  Keep going and
you'll eventually reach the N.  Continue to jump on the platforms.
When you come to the Hogwash, jump on it to get into the barrel.
It's a big jump!
*Bonus Level- Jump on the oil drum to get the banana bunch.  Avoid
the tires and jump on the oil drums and on the last oil drum pick
up the G.*
After the bonus, go right onto the little platforms while avoiding
the rocks.  When you see the warp, go below it to get some bananas.
head back to the warp and jump in.

3.7. Collapsing Clouds
Head right from the start and jump on the Collapsing Cloud to get
the Buddy Barrel.  Head right and jump from Collapsing Cloud to
Collapsing Cloud. (For the rest of the level, I will call Collapsing
Clouds; CC).  When you come to the crate, break it open to get
Expresso.  Float from CC to CC to get the K.  Continue on after the
K and jump on the cloud (this cloud doesn't disappear).  Just before
the next CC there is a barrel.  Jump in it.
*Bonus Level- Collect the bananas and Kong Tokens.*
After the bonus, go right and jump from CC to CC to get the O.  Keep
jumping from CC to CC and you'll come to a Check Point.  From the
Check Point, get the Buddy Barrel.  Below the 6th CC after the Check
Point there is a barrel.  Jump in it.
*Bonus Level- Cash in your Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
Continue on and jump over the Zinger to collect the N.  Keep going
and jump over the Zingers and then jump onto the CC.  You'll drop
to some more CCs an then you'll land in a barrel.  Keep jumping from
CC to CC and avoid the Zingers.  Go right and when you're on the
non-collapsing cloud, jump to the next set of CC and you'll come to
the G.  Keep going and you'll reach the warp.

3.8.-Boss- Mad Mole Holes
When the mole throws his hat, jump on his head.  Every time you jump
on him, he will go back into the hole and come out of a different
one.  Once again, wait until he throws his hat and then jump on his
head.  The more times you jump on him, the faster he gets.  Eight
hits and he'll be gone.  You'll get three banana bunches.

*****4. Big Ape City*****
4.1. Balloon Barrage
From the start, jump on the balloon to get a Buddy Barrel.  While you
are on the balloon, jump left into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Jump on the platforms and collect the Kong Tokens.*
After the bonus level, head right jumping from balloon to balloon.
Go right and jump on the next set of balloons.  Between the 2nd and
3rd balloon, jump to get the K.  Jump over the Zinger, then jump on
the tires to the next set of balloons.  Continue right to the next
set of balloons and get the O.  Jump on the next set of balloons and
then keep going to get to a Check Point.  Keep going and you'll get
to the next set of balloons.  Go right after the balloons the get a
Buddy Barrel and then jump on the next 2 balloons.  Go right to the
next set of balloons, then keep going to run into even more balloons.
On this set of balloons, jump off the 3rd balloon into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Jump on the platform (it's just like the platform in
level 3.5) and collect the Kong Tokens as you go.  Collect the N at
the end.*
After the bonus, head right to the next set of balloons.  Get the G
above the Zinger.  After the balloons, head right to the warp.

4.2. Kong Krazy
Go right to get the Buddy Barrel.  Go right and jump to get the K,
jump over the Kremling to get the O, jump over the Zinger to get
the N, and then go right and get the G on the platform.  All the
letters so soon?  That was easy! No…not really.  Actually, you'll
be collecting a lot of letters in this level.  After you have the G,
go right and jump on the little propeller thing.  The K-O-N-G letters
that you collected will spread out in front of you so you can use
them to walk across the pit!  Continue going right and jump on the
Kremling.  Continue on and jump into the barrel.  Launch yourself
when you're above the K, then jump on the tire to get back in the
barrel.  Go right to get the O by the snakes.  Keep going to get the
N.  Watch out for the Kremlings!  Go right and grab the TNT.  Avoid
the Hogwash as you carry the TNT.  Throw the TNT at the Zinger and
then get the G.  Go right and jump on the rope to get some bananas.
From the rope, jump on the propeller.  Jump onto the letters and
then go right to get to a Check Point.  Keep going to get the K.
Grab the O under the Zinger and then go right and jump on the tire
and over the Zinger to get the N.  Jump over the next Zinger to get
the G.  Go right and jump into the barrel.  Launch yourself when you
are aimed at the bananas.  Jump over the Zinger and then jump onto
the propeller.  Jump onto the K and the O, and then jump on the
next propeller and jump across the N and the G.  Go right and jump
down following the banana path to land on the weak spot that's on
the floor.  Grab the rope that comes out.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tires to collect the Kong Tokens and the
"real K".*
After the bonus level, go left to get the "real O" and then a Buddy
Barrel.  After the Buddy Barrel, go right and push the tire to the
edge of the platform.  Jump on the tire to get the "real N".  Go
right and jump above the Hogwash to get the "real G".  Go right to
get some bananas and then jump in the warp.

4.3. Construction Site Fight
Go left from the start to get the K.  Go right and jump into the
barrel and direct yourself to the right while you're in the air.
Grab the chain and jump to get a banana bunch then jump to get a
Buddy Barrel.  Go right and jump in to the barrel.  Direct yourself
to the right and jump onto the ledge.  Go right and grab the barrel.
Throw it to the left and jump on.  While you're riding on the barrel,
jump off onto the white platform before you fall off the edge.  Go
right and jump onto the chain to get the O.  Jump back onto the chain
and climb down to the bottom and then jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Go right to grab the Extra Life.  Collect the Kong
Tokens.*
After the bonus level go right into the barrel.  Go right into the
next barrel to get to a Check Point and Buddy Barrel.  Jump into the
barrel and keep jumping from barrel to barrel.  Keep going right for
a while and eventually you'll reach the N.  Drop below the N into
the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tires to get some bananas and Kong Tokens.*
After the bonus, jump on the Hogwash to get into the barrel and then
go from barrel to barrel.  After the last barrel, get the G.  Go to
the right and jump into the warp.

4.4. Fast Barrel Blast
Go right and watch out for the Kremlings.  Go right and jump into
the barrel.  Keep going and kill the bird cannon.  Follow the path
of bananas and jump down off of the platform to land on the weak
spot in the floor.  Grab the rope that comes out.
*Bonus Level- Cash in your Kong Tokens for Extra Lives.*
After the bonus level, jump into the barrel and get the K.  Launch
yourself out of the barrel when you are aimed at the bananas.  Keep
launching when you are aimed at the bananas/barrels.  After you have
collected the bananas, go right to get a Buddy Barrel.  After you
get the Buddy Barrel, go right and jump into the barrel.  Launch
yourself when you're aimed at the barrel to the left.  Launch your
self again and avoid the Zinger.  After the Zinger, launch yourself
when you're aimed at the O in the upper-left.  Go right and get the
Check Point and jump into the barrel.  Launch yourself when you're
aimed at the bananas.  Launch when your aimed at the Kong Token.
Go right into the next set of barrels.  Launch when you're aimed at
the tire.  Jump to the right off the tire and into the barrel.  When
you are aimed at the barrel in the upper-right, launch yourself.
Launch when you're aimed at the bananas.  Land on the platform and
jump into the next set of barrels.  In the 3rd barrel, launch yourself
when you're aimed at the N.  After the barrels, go right to get the
bananas then jump on the tire.  From the tire, jump on the Hogwash
into the barrel.  When you launch out of the barrel, jump to the 
lower-left off of the platform to land in the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tires and collect the G.*
After the bonus level, go right and jump in the warp.

4.5. Skyscraper Caper
On the first pole, go to the top and get the K.  Go right to get a
Buddy Barrel.  Go right and jump from pole to pole.  Keep going
and kill or avoid the Hogwash.  Continue on and jump from pole to
pole and get the bananas.  Go right and watch out for the Kremlings.
After the Kremlings, go up the pole.  Go right and near the bottom
of the next pole get the O.  Continue going right and jump from pole
to pole while avoiding the Zingers.  Keep going and jump from pole
to pole avoiding the snakes.  Go right to get to a Check Point.  Go
right and jump from pole to pole.  Keep going to the Buddy Barrel,
and then jump from pole to pole avoiding the snakes.  Go right and
kill the Kremlings then go right and jump from pole to pole while
avoiding the Zingers.  Continue on to get to a Buddy Barrel.  Go
right and jump from pole to pole.  On the 3rd pole (upper right),
jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Swim between the tires to get the N.*
After the bonus level get the Buddy Barrel.  Continue right and jump
over the Zingers.  Keep going and jump into the barrel.  While you
are in the air, direct yourself right and over the Zinger.  Go right
and jump from pole to pole and get the G on the 2nd pole.  Go right
and jump from pole to pole and avoid the snakes.  After the poles,
go right and jump into the warp.

4.6. Oil Drum Slum
Go right from the start and follow the path of bananas.  Go right and
jump into the barrel, then direct yourself right so that you land
on the button.  Jumping on the button will reposition the barrel.
When the barrel is pointing to the upper right, jump in it.  Head
right and when you reach the button jump on it once to make the
barrel point up.  Jump into to it to get a Buddy Barrel, then keep
going right to get some Kong Tokens. Go right and jump on the button
until the barrel is aimed at the K.  Jump in the barrel.  Go right
after the K to the next button.  Jump on the button until the barrel
is pointing down towards the single banana.  Jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the Zinger and get the O.*
After the bonus, you'll automatically land on a button.  Jump into
the barrel.  Get the Check Point and Buddy Barrel and then continue
right.  Jump on the button once and then jump into the barrel.  When
you land, jump backwards to the left and jump into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Avoid the tires and collect the N.*
After the bonus you'll automatically land on a button.  Jump into
the barrel.  Continue going right and jump into the barrel.  You'll
go through a series of barrels, collect the G, and then land on a
button.  Jump into the barrel and then jump into the warp.

4.7. Oil Drum Slum
Go right and jump over the pit to get the Buddy Barrel.  Go right
and jump onto the oil barrel to get the banana bunch.  Keep going
and use the oil barrel to jump over the pit.  Go right and jump onto
the pole.  Head left and when the fire disappears from the barrel,
use it to jump over the pit.  Continue going left and you'll come
to the K. Go left and jump in the barrel and direct yourself onto
the little platform.  Go right and jump over the pit to get to a
Check Point.  After the Check Point, continue going right and you'll
eventually reach a rope.  Grab it and then jump right onto the tire
and over the flaming oil barrels.  Get the Buddy Barrel the continue
left.  Jump from oil barrel to oil barrel.  When you reach the pole
with the Zinger flying to the right of it, go up the pole to collect
the O, then go back down to the bottom of the pole and jump to the
left onto the tire then into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Swim right to collect the bananas and Extra Lives.
Watch out for the fish and sharks.*
After the bonus level, jump over the Zinger to collect the N.  Go
right to get to a Check Point.  Keep going and jump onto the
oil barrel to get over the pit.  Go up the platforms and jump onto
the oil barrel when the flame is gone.  Go left and jump from oil
barrel to oil barrel.  Go left and avoid the big enemy, grab the TNT,
go right and avoid the big enemy, then throw the TNT at the flaming
oil barrel that is on the platform to blow it up.  Go down where the
oil barrel was before and head right into the barrel.
*Bonus Level- Collect the Extra Lives.*
After the bonus, go left to get the G.  Jump up the platforms to get
to a pole then grab it.  Go right and eventually you'll reach the
warp.

4.8. K. Rool's Kingdom
This is it! The final level of the game!  Are you ready? You better
be ready!  Let the battle begin!!  When K. Rool throws his crown
at you, jump over it the jump on his head.  After that, he'll run to
the opposite side of the room.  Follow him and he'll throw his crown
again.  Jump on his head again.  Repeat this process 6 times.  After
you have jumped on K. Rool 6 times, he will jump over you, run to
the opposite side of the room, and then jump over you again.  He'll
repeat the process of jumping and running 6 times.  After he is done
jumping, he'll throw his crown at you again.  This is the cue for you
to jump on his head and then follow him to the opposite side of the
room.  Be careful, though, because he speeds up.  Jump on him 7
more times and he's a goner!
KONGRATULATIONS!!  You have beaten Donkey Kong Land!!

E. Tips/Tricks/Secrets

-To jump over large pits, or if you have trouble jumping at all,
try this:  Walk up to the edge of the pit (I mean the EDGE) and
then jump.  This is a little risky because you can fall off if you
go too far on the edge.

-In Level 1.8. (Congo Carnage), in the 2nd bonus level, when you
exit you can go back in to get as many lives as you want.
